Tommy Branson

Tommy Ray (Pee-Wee) Branson, 69, of Sebree, KY passed away Wednesday June 8, 2022 at his residence.

Tommy was born July 12, 1952 in Evansville IN, to Ovalene Jones Gibson and the late Thomas Edward Branson.  He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Mack Gibson.

Tommy was of Christian faith and attended Shady Grove General Baptist Church every Sunday with his mother.  Tommy was a retired surface coal miner from Alliance Coal and a loyal UK basketball fan.  After retirement he continued to enjoy spending his time outdoors operating equipment, working on old tractors and gardening.  Tommy was a hard worker with a big heart.  He loved nothing more than helping his family, friends and neighbors in any way he could. He will be greatly missed by many.

Tommy is survived by his mother Ovalene Gibson of Poole, KY; his son Bryan (Dee) Branson of Sebree, KY; his daughter Shelly (Susan) Branson of Sealy, TX; his sister Karen (Randy) Byrum of Henderson, KY; his brother Michael (Wilma) Branson of Sebree, KY; his granddaughters Paige (Bryce) Villines, McKenna Branson and Erika Noffsinger; his nephew Steven Render; nieces Shauna Parker, Amanda (Sean) Guzik and Laura (Lee) Lilly along with several great nephews and great nieces. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday June 13th, 2022 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Donald Duncan, David Dixon and Rev. Logan Hensley will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Sebree, KY. Visitation will be from 4pm-7pm on Sunday and from 8am until service time at the funeral home on Monday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the West KY Teen Challenge Men’s Rehab 231 St Rt 2839 Dixon, KY 42409.
