William Thomas "Tommy" Prowell Jr.

William Thomas "Tommy" Prowell Jr. passed away on Monday October 7th, 2024 in Caldwell County, KY. He was a coal miner for 20 years, he worked in maintenance at the mines. Tommy loved his family very much, he was a great father, loyal husband and a very hard worker. He loved mechanic work and enjoyed fishing. He was the son of the late William Thomas Prowell Sr and Edna Phelps Prowell. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Kayla Prowell of Dalton, KY; 4 daughters Kaitlyn Prowell of Salem, KY; Lindsey Prowell of Dalton, KY; Makenzie Prowell of Dalton, KY and Kaylie Prowell of Dalton, KY; 3 sons Jesse(Haley) Belt of Marion, KY; Jared Prowell of Dalton, KY and Christopher Prowell of Dalton, KY; 1 sister Robin “Robbie” Phelps of Madisonville, KY; 3 brothers Michael “Mikey” Prowell of Madisonville, KY; Clifford Prowell of Louisville, KY and David Adams of Newburgh, IN; 3 granddaughters Tinley, Madison and Rayleigh. Tommy was well loved by his extended family members. Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 12th, 2024 at 2pm at Silent Run Baptist Church 600 Silent Run Church Road Nebo, KY 42441. Bro. Jamey Daugherty will officiate. Visitation will be from 12pm until service time at the church. Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon is handling the arrangements.
