Vernon Lee Rideout

Vernon Lee Rideout 80, of Poole, KY passed away Tuesday February 6th, 2024. Vernon graduated from Henderson Co. High School in 1961. He spent several years farming and worked as a Sprinkler Fitter. He was a co-founder and owner of Ohio Valley Sprinklers and retired from Local #669. Vernon was a member of Dixie Methodist Church in Little Dixie, KY. Vernon was the son of the late Carl “Windy” and Juanita Taylor Rideout. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Paul, Dorris and infant Carl Ray Rideout. Survivors include his wife of 21 years Susie Rideout of Poole, KY; 2 daughters Leah(Jeff) Blanford and Farah(David) Ellis both of Poole, KY; 2 step daughters Jody(Rex) Rodgers of Slaughters, KY and Christie Hill(Chris Ellis) of Henderson, KY; 2 brothers Kenny Rideout and Randall Rideout both of Poole, KY; 1 sister Dana Stone of Henderson, KY; 3 grandchildren Nate Blanford, Hallie Ellis, and Audrie Ellis all of Poole, KY; 4 step grandchildren Cassandra and Samantha Rodgers of Slaughters, KY and Kelsie Hill and Kendra Ellis both of Henderson, KY; 1 great granddaughter Indie Geary; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 13th, 2024 at 1pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro. Mark Hobgood and Bro. Doug Stallins will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY. Visitation will be on Monday from 4pm-8pm and from 8am on Tuesday until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Nate Blanford, Jimmy Newcom, Dwight Crooks, Nathan Hayden, Steve Hayden and Tony Steinwach.
