Thomas Cottingham

December 20, 1925 — April 3, 2012

Mahlon Cottingham 86, of Sebree, KY died on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. He was a lifelong Farmer and former President of the district and local Farm Bureau Board. He was a member and elder of the Poole Church of Christ in Poole, KY, and also a past member of the West KY Youth Camp. He was the son of the late Thomas Bailey and Zola Newton Cottingham. He was preceded in death by his wife Christine and a son Dr. A.B. Cottingham. He is survived by his daughter Leva Duckworth (John) of Nashville, TN; a son Dr. Tim Cottingham (Karen) of Sebree, KY; one sister Anna Russell of Providence, KY; 5 grandchildren Ashley Mathis (Neal) of Henderson, KY; Lauren Cottingham, Jordan Cottingham both of Sebree, KY; Cameron Cottingham (Laura) of Nashville, TN and Courtney McCormick (Greg) of Nashville, TN; 2 great grandchildren Molly Mathis and Adri Cottingham; nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday April 7, 2012 at 10AM at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro. Neal Mathis and Bro. Bill Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole. Visitation will be from 3-8pm on Friday and from 8am until service time on Saturday. Active and Honorary Pallbearers will be Jordan Cottingham, Bill Bridwell, Benny Foster, Cameron Cottingham, Jerry Brown, Mark Russell, Mike Fletcher Bob Ashby, David McCutchin, Bob McCutchin, Sam Puryear and Keith Tapp. Memorial contributions can be made to Poole Church of Christ P.O.
