Shirley Smith

Shirley E. Smith 80, of Dixon died on Sunday Jan. 6, 2013 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. He was a retired Laborer having worked out of the Local #561 Union in Evansville, IN. He was of the General Baptist Faith. He loved country and Gospel music, and was a musician for over 55 years, he also loved his dogs.  Survivors include his wife of over 60 years Betty Wilson Smith of Dixon, KY; 1 daughter Shirlene Patmore and her husband Danny of Dixon, KY; 2 brothers Leroy Smith of Madisonville, KY and James H. Smith of Evansville, IN; 1 grandson Cory Patmore and his wife Lauren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at 1pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro. Dwayne Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden.
