Ruth Winstead

Ruth Travis Winstead 92, of Dixon, KY passed away at Shemwell Nursing Home in Providence, KY on Monday September 10, 2018. She retired after 21 years of teaching English in the Webster Co. School System. She was a member of the Dixon First Baptist Church in Dixon, where she taught Sunday School, she was also a member of the Emeritus Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Winstead in 2014. Survivors include her daughter Debbie Winstead Horschel(Larry) of Dixon, KY; 2 grandchildren Michelle Tanksley(Chris) and Travis Horschel(Page); 4 great grandchildren Casey, Hannah, Eli, and Evelyn Grace; 1 niece and 1 nephew. Funeral services will be on Friday September 14, 2018 at 11am at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Hank Cayce and Rev. Jared Leet will officiate. Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday and from 8am until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
