Ronnie Gene Stone

Ronald Gene “Ronnie” Stone 76, of Clay, KY passed away at his home on Tuesday September 24th, 2024. Ronnie was the son of the late Gilmore and Imogene Stone. He was a member of the Community Fellowship Church in Clay, KY. Ronnie was a Diesel Mechanic for several years at Pyro Mines, Smith Coal and Russell & Land Co. He enjoyed working on Lawnmowers and his garage was known as “Grumpy’s Garage” to the locals. He loved life and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ronnie enjoyed the Outdoors, which included riding 4-wheelers, fishing, hunting, smoking meat, camping, horses and gardening. Ronnie enjoyed being around children and he had a love for his pets. Ronnie also enjoyed vacations, his favorite vacation was the time he spent at Land between the Lakes with his horses and covered wagon. He is preceded in death by 1 sister and 5 brothers. Survivors include his wife of 55 years Brenda Stone of Clay, KY; 3 daughters Annette Schroeder of Providence, KY; Rhonda(Lonnie) Terrell of Diamond, KY and Dianna(Jimmy Gibson) Stone of Clay, KY; 3 sisters Ruth Braden of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Nola Sue Byrd of Indianapolis, IN and Donna Michael of Henderson, KY; 2 brothers Wes Stone of Diamond, KY and William Stone of Sturgis, KY; 4 grandchildren Chris Schroeder, Halie(Micheal) Caine, Dustin(Kassandra) Terrell and Devin( C.J.) Terrell; 3 great grandchildren Luke, Cody and Holden and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Monday September 30th, 2024 at 3pm at Community Fellowship Church 81 L&N Railroad Street Clay, KY 42404. Bro. Earl Reeves will officiate. Friends may visit from 1pm until service time at the church on Monday. Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon is handling the arrangements.
