Ronald E. “Buck “ Buchanan 77, of Kuttawa, KY formerly of Cairo, KY passed away at his home on November 18, 2015. He was the owner/operator of Buck’s Excavating, and a member of the Operating Engineers Local #181 in Henderson, KY. He was a member of the Cairo United Methodist Church in Cairo, KY, and was a US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Elaine Buchanan. Survivors include his 1 daughter Theresa Sheffer of Cairo, KY; 2 sons Troy Buchanan and Terry Buchanan both of Cairo, KY; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday November 23, 2015 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Fred Whitmore and Rev. Michael Sweeney will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Sunday and from 8am until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Military Rites will be performed graveside by American Legion Worsham Post #40. Memorial contributions can be made to Lourdes Hospice 911 Joe Clifton Drive Paducah, KY 42001-3747.
