Robert L. Bevels 66, of Dixon, KY passed away on Saturday April 6, 2019 at his home. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Slaughters, KY. He was preceded in death by his father Edgar (Jack); mother Mary and a sister, Glenda Holt. Survived by his wife Linda Bevels of Dixon, KY; 2 step-daughters Kandi (Robert) Richie of Gallatin, TN and Kelly (Heath) McVay of Clay, KY; 2 sisters Cecelia Wilkerson of Madisonville, KY and Elaine Hibbs of Earlington, KY; 6 grandchildren Chelsey, Dawson, and Jacob McVay, Alexys McDaniel, Riley Smith, and Sylas Good; and 1  great grandchild Aurora Souza. Visitation will be from 5 PM- 8 PM Thursday April 11, 2019 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY and from 8 until service time 11 AM on Friday April12, 2019 at the funeral home. Bro. Steve Dame will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Gilead-Oakley Cemetery in Slaughters, KY. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S. Green Street Henderson, KY 42420.
