Rebecca Jane Overby

Janie Overby 62, of Sebree, KY passed away on Friday February 27th, 2026 surrounded by her family at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. Janie was an LPN and had worked at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home for 30 years where she lovingly took care of not only her patients but their families as well. She deeply loved and cared for her family and friends and enjoyed cooking for and feeding them. She was the daughter of the late Bud and Dorothy Shelton Wilson. She was preceded in death by a brother Russell Wilson. Survivors include her husband of 29 years Stephen Overby of Sebree, KY; her sisters Karen Nunn of Henderson, KY; Nancy Nally of Uniontown, KY and Debbie Shockey of Sebree, KY; her brothers Buddy(Julie) Wilson of Sebree, KY; Mike(Mary) Wilson of Madisonville, KY; Ben(Shirley) Wilson of Princeton, KY and Bobby Wilson of Corydon, KY; 2 grandchildren Riley Caldwell of Sebree, KY and Madison Brown of Madisonville, KY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 5th, 2026 at 1pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Pastor Dylan Zahn will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm on Wednesday and from 9am until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Eddie Caldwell, Robert Wilson, Justin Scott, Adam Nally, Jake Cleveland and Freddy Golike. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Scott and Madison Brown.
