Randy Scott Byrum

Randy Scott Byrum, 63, Henderson KY, formerly from Eddyville KY, born October 11, 1959, in Campbell County KY, passed away September 6, 2023.

Randy graduated from Lyon County High School in 1977.  He received his Associate in Applied Science from the University of Kentucky in 1981.  He then finished his Bachelors of Science – Business Administration from The University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY.

He attended Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole, KY.

His outstanding career included a stellar history with over 25 years of manufacturing experience within a broad range of leadership roles including 14 years plant management.  Randy loved working and took great pride in his employees and helping them reach their full potential.

Randy had a huge personality and loved to laugh as well as making others laugh.  He enjoyed boating at Lake Barkley with his family and friends.  Randy was the ultimate outdoorsman and loved hunting with the guys, horseback riding and bass fishing.

Randy will be missed immensely and while he is irreplaceable we will continue to honor him with memories and laughter.

Randy is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Byrum; his mother, Pat Rucker; and his daughter Amy Keys.  He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen, of which they shared a deep everlasting love for each other; daughter Shauna Parker of Madisonville, KY; sons Steven Render of Grand Rivers, KY and Jeremy Byrum of Henderson KY; sister Dana Newell of Eddyville KY; grandson Casen Render; granddaughter Lexi Keys; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY.  Rev. Logan Hensley will officiate.  Burial will be in Mt Lebanon Cemetery in Sebree KY.  Visitation will be Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and then from 8:00am until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
