Phillip Ray Tapp

Phillip Ray Tapp 72, of Dixon, KY passed away on Saturday August 24th, 2024 at Owensboro Health Hospital in Owensboro, KY. Phillip worked for 44 years for Farm Credit Services in Owensboro, KY up to his retirement in 2017. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter and spending time on his family farm. He was the son of the late Helburn and Ora Lee Todd Tapp. He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Hammers and a daughter in law Taren Tapp. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Patty Tapp of Dixon, KY; 2 sons David(Suzanne) Tapp and Daniel Tapp(Fiance Donna Bruner) both of Dixon, KY; 4 sisters Sarah Scott of Slaughters, KY; Wanda(Chester) Duncan of Hanson, KY; Judy(Jimmy) Dorris of Robards, KY and Lesa(Steve) Brahm of Huntsville, AL; 2 brothers George(Shirley) Tapp of Dixon, KY and Paul(Carolyn) Tapp of Morganfield, KY; his granddaughter Danielle Tapp and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 27th, 2024 at 1pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Dan Book and Min. Jacob Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm on Monday and from 10am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
