Michael Alan Gold 66, of Providence passed away Saturday September 30, 2023 in Madisonville, KY. Michael was a member of Providence General Baptist Church in Providence, KY where he was very active in the church’s Homeless Ministry, he also enjoyed attending Middle Tennessee Camp Bluebird for cancer survivors in Nashville, TN. and also enjoyed his monthly breakfast meeting with his former Speed Queen coworkers. He was preceded in death by his father James Gold, mother Pearl Aline Mitchell, brother Carroll Gold and sister Ann Knight. Survived by daughter Misty (Mike) Ashcraft of Providence, KY; 2 sisters Phyllis (Richard) Marvel of Providence, KY and Ethel (Ronald) Alexander of Clay, KY; 3 grandchildren Tristan (Hannah) Layton, Kendrick Roberts and Clairissa Roberts; with several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held 1 PM, Thursday October 5, 2023 at Providence General Baptist Church in Providence, KY. Bro. Barry Cullen will officiate the service. Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY was in charge of handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Providence General Baptist Church Building Fund 309 W.
