Max A. Dacy, 85 of Providence, KY passed away Wednesday October 8, 2025. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church in Providence, KY. Max served honorably in the US Army at Ft. Hood, Texas and the Korean War. He loved raising tobacco, where he tortured his children, nieces and nephews for years for a payoff of bologna sandwiches and Sprite. He was preceded in death by his late wife Mable Dacy, his beloved son Rodney Dacy and 2 brothers Dorris and Jimmy Dacy. Survived by 1 daughter Sheila (Mickey) McCully of Hanson, KY; 2 sisters Ann Stone of Poole, KY and Esther Leslie of Dixon, KY; 1 daughter-in-law Dana Dacy of Dixon, KY; 1 sister-in-law Carolyn Dacy of Poole, KY; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday October 11, 2025 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro. Johnnie Davis will officiate with burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Military rites will be performed by Hopkins County Honor Guard at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 till service time on Saturday at the funeral Home.
