Larry Daugherty

Larry G. Daugherty 71, of Dixon, KY passed away at his home on Thursday June 13, 2019. He was an Iron Worker and loved his pulling ponies. His ponies competed in the 38inch Ohio Valley Height Pullers. He was a member of the Dixon Masonic Lodge #911, he was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He loved his grandkids and his horses. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Goldie Marie Simmons and Martha Cates and 2 brothers John Daugherty and Victor ”Dick” Daugherty. Survivors include his wife of 49 years Lois Stone Daugherty of Dixon, KY; 2 daughters Crystal Waddell(Rob Green) of Providence, KY and Melanie Wurth(Johny) of Henderson, KY; 1 son Larry “Little” Daugherty(Ann) of Clay, KY; 2 sisters Barbara Yates of Nebo, KY and Teresa Parker of Marion, KY; 4 brothers Bob Daugherty of Nebo, KY; Jerrold Daugherty of Earlington, KY; Mike Daugherty of Nebo, KY and Tondra Daugherty of Madisonville, KY; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro. Patrick Yates and Bro. Tondra Daugherty will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden, KY. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Monday and from 8am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
