Joyce Marilyn Whitlow

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our one-of-a-kind mother, Joyce Marilyn Whitlow who passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025 at the age of 77. A resident of Henderson, Kentucky, she was the cornerstone of our family and a source of endless love, strength, and laughter.She was born in Carmi, Illinois on July 30, 1948 to her late parents, John Elvis and Helen Jines-Williams. A graduate of North Posey High School, she went on to a fulfilling career as an extraordinary Mother, Lunchroom Manager and Call Center Operator. She married the love of her life, Michael Ray Whitlow, and together they built a loving home and raised 2 daughters.Our mother was a woman of many passions with strength and her ability to be so brave and unwillingness to give up. Her home was always filled with the warmth of her kindness and never ending love. We will always remember her for her warm and caring positive attitude and her devotion to always being not just a Mother but our best friend.She taught us how to live and what unconditional love truly means and her legacy will continue to inspire us. We will forever cherish the memories of our Sweet Momma. Joyce Whitlow is preceded in death by her Father John Elvis Williams, and Mother Helen-Jines Williams and Sister Janet Austin of Evansville, Indiana.She will be deeply missed by her surviving family: Her children: Amy(Gary) Sinnett and Melissa (Brad) Overfield:Her granddaughters: Taylor and Lily Sinnett: Her step-grandchildren: Zachary, Chelsea,Ty and Jayda Overfield: 5 great grandchildren: Her sibling: Janie Williams: Her puppy: Oliver Whitlow: Countless friends and other loved ones. A celebration held by her family of her remarkable life will be held at Denton Shelter House, 1813 N. Elm Street Henderson, KY 42420 on Monday September 22nd, 2025.
