John Chandler

John Lewis Chandler 93, formerly of Poole, KY passed away Saturday February 11, 2023 at the Veterans Center in Hanson, KY. He was a member of Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole, KY and Bailey-Onton Masonic Lodge in Sebree, KY F&AM#538. He was a lifelong farmer and retired from Whirlpool in Evansville, IN after working there for over 20 years. He volunteered at St. Anthony’s Hospice.  He was preceded in death by Jean, his wife of 60 years; 4 brothers Starlin, Ralph, Eugene and Eldon; 2 sisters Louise Parker and Hazel Endicott and 1 great-granddaughter Chandler Yarbrough. He is survived by 2 daughters, Debra Bahouth (Fadi) of Huddleston, VA and Paula Gray (Larry) of Poole, KY, a brother E.C. Chandler of Robards, KY; 4 granddaughters LeeAnn Yarbrough, Rachel Beauchamp, Stephanie Hagedorn and Wendy Ackerman; 6 six great grandchildren Landon Yarbrough, Joey and Skylar Beauchamp, Jillian and Jordan Hagedorn and Camden Ackerman; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11 am Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro. Bill Bursztynski will officiate with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY. Military rites will be performed by Worshum Post#40 of Henderson, KY., at the cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 6pm-8pm with Masonic Rites at 6:30pm and from 8am till service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
