Janet Faye Hayes

Janet Faye Hayes 68, of Sebree, KY passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday October 22nd, 2026 at her home. Janet was a member of the Sebree Christian Church in Sebree, KY. She had retired from the KY Department of Transportation after 31 years of service, where she worked at the Sebree Toll Plaza on the Pennyrile Parkway and also the Audubon Parkway Toll Plaza, after those closed down she transitioned to the district office in Madisonville, KY. Janet loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, she was a very generous person and loved helping people. Janet also loved watching the UK Wildcats. She was the daughter of the late Harmon and Mary Jo Hayes. Janet was preceded in death by a brother Wilbur Joe Hayes, a sister Joyce Richmond and a nephew Randy Joe Hayes. Survivors include her 2 sisters Brenda(Stan) Fister of Owensboro, KY and Carolyn(Tom) Catlin of Murray, KY; a brother Keith Hayes of Onton, KY; a brother-in-law Rodney Richmond of Dixon, KY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday October 27th, 2026 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro. Bill Anderson and Bro. Kevin Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sebree Christian Church PO B 35 Sebree, KY 42455.
