James Lee “Heavy” Tomlingson 83 of Poole, KY died at his home on Monday May 13, 2013. He was retired after 24 years from Crestline Plastics in Henderson, KY. He was a US Army Veteran and member of the Shady Grove General Baptist Church in Poole, KY; he loved to hunt, fish and play cards. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Babb Tomlingson in 1992. Survivors include his wife of 13 years Patricia Branson Tomlingson of Poole, KY; 4 daughters Sharon Epley of Poole, KY; Karen Brantley of Sebree, KY; Darla Vaughn and Carla Brashears both of Clay, KY; 1 stepdaughter Toni Liles of Henderson, KY; 2 stepsons Larry Branson and Troy Branson both of Henderson, KY; 2 sisters Betty Brown of Henderson, KY and Barbara Schreinbeck of Florence, KY; 5 grandchildren, 4 Stepgrand, 7 great grand, 4 step great grand; 2 great great grand and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Townsend Funeral Home on Thursday May 16, 2013 at 2pm. Rev. Dean Esarey will officiate. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY. Visitation will be from 1-8pm on Wednesday and from 8am until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post #40 at the cemetery.
