Ira Wesley Yates Jr.

Ira Wesley Yates Jr. passed away on Saturday August 17th, 2024 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. Ira was a Farmer and had worked at Gibb’s Diecasting in Henderson, KY. He attended Dixon First Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. He was preceded in death by a son Wesley Keith Yates, a grandson and several brothers and sisters. He was the son of the late Ira Wesley Yates Sr. and Artie Yates. Survivors include his 2 daughters Robin Lynn of Lexington, KY and Jamie Jones of Slaughters, KY; 1 son Mark Yates of Slaughters, KY; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 20th, 2024 at 2pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Patrick Yates will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, KY.
