Henry Earl Franklin 62, of Dixon, KY died at the Jon Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO on Wednesday December 18, 2013. He was a US Marine Veteran. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 40 years and was a member of the VFW Post#5484 in Providence, KY. He was preceded in death by his father George Henry Franklin. Survivors include his wife of 39 years Paula Franklin of Dixon, KY; his Mother Dorothy Franklin of Dixon, KY; one daughter Stephanie Greenwell and her husband Jeremy of Sebree, KY; one son Brian Franklin and his wife Mandee of Dixon, KY; three sisters Delois Ferguson of Evansville, IN, Martha Parrish and Sandy Turner both of Dixon, KY; 4 nephews and 1 niece and 1 great niece. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Chris Odle will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Friday and from 8am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. American Legion Worsham Post #40 of Henderson, KY will conduct Miltiary Rites at the graveside.
