Fred Omer Greene Jr. 90, of Sebree, KY passed away at the Western KY Veterans Center in Hanson, KY on Friday February 3, 2017. He was retired from Big Rivers after several years of working as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife Lora Sellars Greene and a daughter Victoria Greene von Bargen. He is survived by 2 daughters Deborah Alta Greene of Henderson, KY; Sherilyn Greene Askins of Robards, KY; 3 step daughters Judy Lingle Whann of Modesto, CA; Cathy Lingle Henderson, KY and Lisa Lingle of Slaughters, KY; 1 son Larry Greene of Martinsville, IN and 1 step son James Roe Lingle of Henderson, KY; 3 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 27 step great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday February 6, 2017 at 2pm at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Leland Morrow will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Sebree, KY. Visitation will be from 11am until service time on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the WKVC Activity Fund 926 Veterans Drive Hanson, KY 42413.
