Deborah Joyce Whitledge 73, of Morganfield, KY., completed her earthly journey on November 28, 2023. Deborah was born August 3, 1950 to Joseph and Irene Bienville in Chicago, Illinois. She held a number of jobs throughout her life, her last employment as a supervisor for Tyson Foods. Deborah and Daniel Whitledge were married on May 17, 2003. She was a passionate and excellent cook in her own right. She was also very creative and enjoyed many crafts such as quilting, knitting, sewing and crocheting. She absolutely loved the holidays and decorating for the gathering of family. She was a host extraordinaire and would cook up the best gumbo for all to enjoy. Deborah was a member of Eastview Baptist Missionary Church in Madisonville, KY. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Irene Bienville, her beloved daughter Detri Moore, her stepson Kevin Taylor, her siblings; Sharon Thompson, Janice Bell and Keith Bienville; her niece; Crystal Bienville; and her grandson; David Taylor. Survived by her husband Daniel “Whit” Whitledge of Morganfield, KY; her children Deanna Ford(Derrick) of Riverside, CA, Mia King(Jonathon) of Clarksville, TN, Chad Taylor of Madisonville, KY, Tammi Taylor of Louisville, KY, Sonya Taylor of Madisonville, KY, Sarah Taylor of Henderson, KY and Christopher Whitledge of Sturgis, KY.; 16 grandchildren Toi Briscoe(Shannon), Derrick Marcus Ford, Whitney Allison, Terry Moore, Tyler Allison, Tevin Moore, Jesse Carruthers, Devinee Lingo(Reese), A’Shon Carruthers(Jewele), Deanielle Ford, Brittany Carruthers, Destiny Mullins, Victor Reed, Deyton Ford, Christian Nicholson and Caden Taylor; her niece Leslie Thompson and nephews Eric and Anthony Bell(Antoinette) as well as a host of 26 great grandchildren and other beloved family members and friends. Funeral service will be 3pm Sunday December 3, 2023 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Pastor John Trice Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be from 12pm till service time at the funeral home.
