David Ramsey Melton

David Ramsey Melton 73, formerly of Dixon, KY passed away Wednesday January 14, 2026. He was a Member of Dixon General Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. He had worked at Dixon Bank, where he had been employed for 46 years and was the Vice President. David loved playing golf, coached in several different youth leagues, served on the Dixon City Council, Lions Club and Jaycee’s. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coolidge and Geraldine Ramsey Melton and 1 sister Shirley Melton. Survived by 1 daughter Sue Ellen (John) Penley of Madison, AL; 1 son Matthew Melton of Brentwood, TN; 2 grandchildren Margaret and Hammond Penley; 1 sister Peggy (Bill) Mitchell of Clay, KY; special friend and caregivers Cathi Blankenship and her daughter Brittani Matheny; nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held 2PM Sunday January18, 2026 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be 12PM till service time at the funeral home. Rev.
