Cheryl B. Vandiver

Cheryl B. Vandiver 80, of Cairo, KY passed away on Friday February 13th, 2026 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. Cheryl retired from Methodist Hospital in 2007 after working there for 34 years. She was a member of the Cairo Methodist Church in Henderson, KY, where she served for several years as a Sunday School Teacher. Cheryl loved sewing, making quilts and cross stitching. She also loved researching her Ancestry. She was the daughter of the late Alton and Annie Duckworth Buchanan. She was preceded in death by a sister and 3 brothers and a granddaughter Preston Grace Vandiver. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Fred Vandiver of Cairo, KY; her daughter Janet(Eric) Terrell of Evansville, IN; her son Brian(Deanna) Vandiver of Cairo, KY; nephew( Like a Brother) Jerry Buchanan of Robards, KY; 4 grandchildren Joshua(Valerie) Terrell, Abby(Matt) Benton, Alyssa(Grant) Duckworth and Parker Grace Vandiver; a great-grandson Uriah Terrell and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Cairo Methodist Church 13510 US Hwy 41 A Henderson, KY 42420 at 12pm on Friday February 20th, 2026. Rev. Cameron Edwards will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY. Visitation will be from 10am until service time on Friday at the church.
