Charles Mitchell

Charles “Chuck” Mitchell, Jr., 74, of Upper Arlington, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011. A 70 year cancer survivor, Charles was born September 21, 1936 in Webster County, KY. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mayme Owen Mitchell and sister, Louise. Charles will be missed by his hometown sweetheart and wife of 53 years, Doris; daughters, Teresa (Jack, Jr.) Flood and Cheryl Mitchell Southworth; grandchildren, Kelly and Jack Flood III, and Jake and Gavin Southworth; sisters, Geraldine (Joel) Rich and Betty Sue Moran; 21 nieces and nephews and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 6 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus 43221, Dr. Wayne Nicholson, officiating. Services will be held at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY on Sunday Sept. 18 at 2pm.Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8pm and on Sunday from 9am until service time. Rev John Brumfiel will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemtery in Dixon.
