Barbara H. Ramsey

Barbara H. Ramsey, 79, of Dixon, KY passed away on Thursday March 14, 2024 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. She was a devoted wife, mother and caregiver. She enjoyed the outdoors, yard work and gardening, and was a voracious reader most of her life. She was a member of Dixon First Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. She was born in Columbus, MS on September 30, 1944 and is the daughter of the late Rev. Charles E. & Anne Harris. She was united in marriage to John S. Ramsey Jr. on April 23, 1966. He preceded her in death May 5, 2016. She was also preceded by her sister Mary Ellen Harris, brothers-in-law Bill Simpson and Mike Bowers and a sister-in-law Dianne Harris. She is survived by her son John S. Ramsey III of Cocoa Beach, FL; 2 sisters Kay Bowers of Kansas City, MO and Deborah Simpson of Campbellsville, KY; 3 brothers Charles E.(Carol) Harris Jr. of Morganfield, KY; Larry Harris and John Allen Harris both of Campbellsville, KY; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; 2 great-nieces; 4 great-nephews; 1 great-great-niece and 1 great-great-nephew. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday March 16, 2024 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Rev. Ron Hampton will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, KY.
