Albert Michael Capps

Albert Michael Capps 68, of Clay, KY passed away Saturday August 2, 2025. He was a member of Lisman Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lisman, KY. He worked underground/surface mining for 33 years, during this time he was a member of the mine rescue team for 13 years and also served on the volunteer fire department for several years. He was a loving father, grandfather and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Morris Capps and Helen Joyce Capps and a brother Dennis Wayne Capps. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Debbie Capps of Clay, KY; 2 sons Michael Don (Yvette) Capps of Murray, KY and Todd (Kim) Capps of Madisonville KY; 1 daughter Lyndsey (Shaun) Penrod of Diamond, KY; 5 grandchildren Bryce (Amanda), Tristan, Hailey (Mitchell), Colton, Morgan and Abby; 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Debbie (Van) Villines of St. Louis, MO and Sheila Capps of Hopkinsville, KY; Sister-in-law Donna (Rich) and brother-in-law Davy (Chip) daughter-in-law Shelly; with several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2PM Wednesday August 6, 2025 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 11AM till service time at the funeral home. Steve Duncan will officiate.
